About Pixel Delta 3D

Pixel Delta 3D exists because we wanted to play Escape from Tarkov in a browser. That game is incredible, but it requires a beefy PC, 50GB of storage, and hundreds of hours to learn. Not everyone has that.

So we asked: what if we took the core extraction shooter loop - raid, loot, extract, risk everything - and made it run in a browser tab?

The Extraction Shooter Genre

If you haven't played an extraction shooter before, here's the pitch: you enter a map with limited gear. You fight enemies, find valuable loot, and try to get to an extraction point before time runs out. If you extract, you keep everything. If you die, you lose it all.

That risk/reward loop is what makes the genre addictive. Every decision matters. Do you push deeper into the map for better loot, or play it safe and extract early? Do you spend money on good gear (and risk losing it), or go in cheap?

It's genuinely tense in a way most browser games aren't.

What We Built

Pixel Delta 3D has:

Why Browser?

Accessibility. Not everyone can download a 50GB game. Not everyone has a gaming PC. School Chromebooks, work laptops, old desktops - they all have browsers. We wanted to make an extraction shooter that anyone can play, anywhere, right now.

The tradeoff is graphics quality. We can't compete with Tarkov or The Cycle visually. But we can compete on gameplay, and that's what matters.

How It's Built

Three.js for 3D rendering, custom physics for movement and collision, Node.js backend for game state and leaderboards. The whole thing loads in under 5 seconds on a decent connection.

We spent a lot of time on performance optimization. Level-of-detail rendering, texture compression, efficient draw calls. The goal was "runs on a Chromebook" and we hit it.

What's Coming

PvP multiplayer is the big one. Right now it's PvE (you vs AI). We're working on adding real players to the raids. Imagine extracting while another player is hunting you. That's the dream.

Also: more maps, more weapons, a progression system, and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

Our Other Games

We also built a few other browser games you might enjoy:

Each game is a separate project with its own team and focus. We link them here for players who want to try something different.
